It's similar to the SkyCruiser and Miniplane (uses the same engine) but has a rigid cage that can be broken down into four parts. It's 44 pounds dry, and has a big 4.6 gallon fuel tank. The unit has 20 hours, and looks almost perfect. Includes brand new Apco harness and carabineers, and brand new Brauniger IQ Motor instrument. Comments: April 5, 2002 For Sale: 177 Mystic VG - $500 obo Excellent - Excellent condition. Never wrecked, never a bent tube, only flown by myself (advanced - Hang 4 rating via USHGA). Most of this gliders time was spent in spring/summer/fall towing in the midwest area (tow to altitude, release and thermal hunting). I haven't flown in over 10 years and this glider has been stored in a clean dry environment in Wisconsin its whole life. I purchased it new in 1989. It has a rainbow undersurface, medium blue LE with a light blue top wedge, main sail is white. Airfoil shaped downtubes. I also have the batten chart. I know this glider is somewhat outdated, but it would make a great glider for someone with a limited budget. This glider is a great thermalling machine, not super fast, but a great sink rate and a lot of sail to stay in the lift. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with this glider, it is a Bennett design, manufactured in the USA, it is a double surfaced glider with 3 undersurface battens and 7 (I think) upper surface battens on each side. There is a VG (variable geometry) system that allows you to tighten the sail in flight (faster, but stiffer). Robertson Cocoon Harness with large hand deployed chute - $200 obo Medium blue - Large size, showing some wear where the pod contacts the ground as you are launching and landing. Otherwise in very good condition. Includes a large hand deployed chute (never actually deployed), had been repacked yearly (until I stopped flying in 1991), I cannot remember the brand name for sure, but I think it is a High Energy Chute. I will throw in all of my other stuff, if someone wants to buy everything as a package (glider, harness and extras), these include: 1. Ball Vario, basic vario with dial and audio. 2. Altimeter 3. Helmet with integrated headset 4. CB Handheld radio 5. Whatever other stuff I can find that is related As I write this ad, a rush of emotion is filling me. Seller's remorse I guess.
