Ball M30 Variometer

Comments: Our soaring club was given a couple of Ball M30 variometers. We would like to use them in the back of our primary trainer since the instructor in the back doesn't have instruments and usually cannot see the vario. The batteries are dead and there is no charger (I assume these things are rechargable). Does anyone out there know anything about these? I would love to get a manual if anyone has one.
